Guide to Mounting a Starlink Dish in High-Wind Areas
If you live in an open and exposed area where wind speeds can exceed 65mph, it’s important to safely and securely mount your Starlink dish, also known as a phased array antenna. At our recent installation in Malpas, Cheshire we used a method that may be of interest to homeowners in similarly windy areas.
To mount the dish, we used a large heavy-duty cradle bracket along with a thick steel mast. This combination with a high strength lashing wire, creates a very secure fitting to the property. The thick steel mast also provides a strong mounting position for the dish.
To further ensure the dish stays put, we utilized the new method of securing it it using using a stainless steel grub screw. This can be easily taken out if the customer decides they want to use the provided ground mount provided at a later date.

Malpas has horrendous internet speeds as there is no wired connection to a reliable stable provider. Until now Airband was the only means of getting an internet connection. This however is unreliable and slow with many complaints daily of 1-2Mb download speeds and frequent drop outs lasting minutes, hours or even days. The customer was not able to watch Netflix or even Youtube without constant buffering. Add into the mix her kids were trying to use iPad’s and an Xbox was driving the whole household to despair. With speeds now exceeding 140+Mb download speeds everyone is now over joyed to finally have fast, reliable internet
