Guide to Mounting a Starlink Dish in High-Wind Areas
If you live in an open and exposed area where wind speeds can exceed 65mph, it’s important to safely and securely mount your Starlink dish, also known as a phased array antenna. At our recent installation in Chester, we used a method that may be of interest to homeowners in similarly windy areas.
To mount the dish, we used a heavy-duty set of pole mounting brackets along with a thick steel mast. This combination allows us to use eight fixing bolts, which creates a very secure fitting to the property. The thick steel mast also provides a strong mounting position for the dish.
To further ensure the dish stays put, we utilized the method of securing it with a Shelley clamp. That ensures a snug and secure fitting. This adds a layer of stability to the installation and minimizes the risk of the dish moving or getting damaged in high winds.
